Estimating Animal Abundance Workshop: St Andrews 2005

Mary Woodcock Kroble
Sunday 9 January 2005
Start date: 23 August 2005 - End date: 27 August 2005
Time: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

This five-day workshop introduced participants to the most important methods of estimating animal abundance, including recently-developed methods and methods for open populations.

We explained the common key statistical concepts underlying the methods, and build on these to create an understanding of advanced and recently-developed methods. The workshop combined lectures with hands-on computer sessions to give participants experience in using the methods. The workshop has been developed with funding from UK research councils (EPSRC and NERC).
